Project Purrfect
In an ideal world, every cat would find a loving home. Unfortunately, reality paints a different picture for many of our feline companions. Nationally, millions of cats and kittens end up in shelters each year. Some are strays discovered alone on the streets, while others were once cherished members of families until they were surrendered by their owners. All face the challenge of adapting to a shelter environment as they patiently await their new homes. During this, the Lexington Humane Society’s Project Purrfect steps in, providing hope and care for these felines.
Project Purrfect, championed by the generous support of Deborah Ann Burg, is a dedicated program. Its mission is twofold: first, to create a secure and nurturing haven for our feline companions within our facility. Second, it strives to amplify awareness throughout the community regarding essential aspects of cat welfare, including proper care, treatment, spaying/neutering, and the vital act of adoption.
Together, we can create a purrfect world for cats in need! Your pivotal role in the success of this program is invaluable. Without your contribution, we wouldn’t be able to create a safe, engaging, and healthy environment for the cats in our facility. Additionally, your support helps us raise awareness in the community about cat care, treatment, spaying/neutering, and adoption. We extend our heartfelt gratitude, and our feline friends join us in thanking you!
